Scholarships
Sooper Credit Union has supported educational opportunities for its members and their children for many years. This year, Sooper Credit Union will continue the tradition by awarding ten $1,000 scholarships. Scholarship applications are accepted between January 1st and March 31st each year for the next school year.
Scholarship criteria:
- Demonstrated leadership
- Community involvement
- Academic and extracurricular achievement
- Completed scholarship application
- Applicant must be a Sooper Credit Union member
A scholarship committee is appointed each year to judge all qualifying candidates. Winning candidates will be notified by May 1st of each year.
Western Slope Scholarship
The Western Colorado Credit Union Chapter is offering two $1,000
scholarships to students attending
accredited Western Slope schools.
Applications must be postmarked by
May 15, 2010.
Selections will be made and the winning
candidates will be notified by May 31,

The Brayman-Beach College Scholarship
The Brayman-Beach College Scholarship is named in honor of two visionary leaders in the credit union movement, Susan J. Brayman and Carroll D. Beach. This scholarship is awarded to credit union members who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in business and is a unique opportunity to celebrate their commitment to our community by investing in our youth and, in turn, the future of the credit union movement. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually.
