E-Statements - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is an E-Statement?

An E-Statement is an electronic delivery of your monthly or quarterly statement, which will take the place of your mailed paper statement.

Are E-Statements safe and secure?

Yes, your statement is stored behind firewalls and is transmitted to your internet browser using 128-bit encryption.

Is there a fee for having E-Statements?

No, E-statements are free of charge.

How do I sign up for E-Statements?

To sign up for E-Statements, click on the "Statement" button located under the “Accounts” tab in Online Banking. Read the consent form, enter your email address, and click “I Accept”.

IMPORTANT: You will receive a confirmation email from Sooper Credit Union asking you to confirm your enrollment in E-Statements. You must click on the link in the email to complete the enrollment process.

Why do I have to give my email address to sign up for E-Statements?

We notify you by email when you have an E-Statement ready to be viewed in Online Banking.

Can I change the email address where my notifications are being sent?

Yes, log in to Online Banking and click on the “Statements” button. Select “Change Email” and type in your new email address. Remember that you must confirm the new email address in order for future email notifications to be sent to the updated address.

I signed up for E-Statements, but I am still receiving paper statements. What do I need to do?

If you signed up for E-Statements but are still receiving paper statements, this is likely because you did not click on the link in the confirmation email we sent. The E-Statement request is not complete until you do so. To have another confirmation link sent to your email address, please contact us at 303-427-5005 or toll free at 1-888-SOOPER-1 during normal business hours.

How do I access my E-Statements?

Every time a new E-Statement becomes available, you will receive an email notification. You can access your E-Statements through the link in your email, or go to www.soopercu.org. You must login to Online Banking and click on the “Statement” button under the “Accounts” tab. From here you will see your E-Statements organized by date – just click the statement you wish to view.

If I don’t receive my email notification, will I still be able to view my E-Statements?

Yes. The notification is simply a reminder email telling you that your statement is ready to view. If you do not receive your email notification, please verify we have the correct email address on file by clicking the “Statement” option under the “Accounts” tab and then select “Change Email”.

What software do I need to view my E-Statements?

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or higher to view your E-Statements. You can download this free software here.

How do I print my E-Statements?

Using the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, select the printer icon. You can either print the entire statement or just a particular page.

How do I save my E-Statements?

Can I receive a paper statement and an E-Statement?

No, you can either receive a paper statement or an E-Statement. Once you register for E-Statements, you will no longer receive paper statements.

When will my next E-Statement be available?

Your E-Statements will be available during the first week of the statement cycle, which is typically during the first week of the month.

Can I have my E-Statement emailed to me rather than viewing it through Online Banking?

No. For your security, your E-Statement can only be viewed once you have logged in to Online Banking.

How long will each E-Statement be available?
